Frequently Asked
Questions
Nuro Performance is a BMW only aftermarket parts business shipping Australia wide out of Melbourne. Carbon, lighting, exhausts, badges and interior. Everything below covers how ordering, fitment, delivery, returns and warranty actually work. If your answer isn't here, email info@nuroperformance.com and a real person will get back to you.
Check your chassis code before you order
The single biggest cause of returns is buying for the wrong generation. BMW model names repeat across generations, but the chassis code does not. An F30 3 Series and a G20 3 Series share a name and almost no panels.
Find yours on the VIN plate in the driver's door jamb, or run your VIN through a free online decoder. Then check it against the chassis codes listed on the product page. Two minutes of checking beats a return.
Not sure? Email us your year, model and chassis code before you buy and we'll confirm fitment for you.
Shipping & Orders
How long does shipping take?
Orders are dispatched from Melbourne within 1 to 3 business days.
From there it's roughly 3 to 7 business days to metro areas and 5 to 10 business days for regional and remote. Tracking is emailed the moment your order leaves us.
Express options appear at checkout for most products. Cost and speed depend on your postcode and how bulky the part is.
Do you ship internationally?
We ship Australia wide as standard. If you're overseas, email us before ordering and we'll tell you what we can do and what it'll cost.
How do I track my order?
A tracking link is emailed as soon as your order ships, and you can pull it up anytime using Track Your Order in the site header.
Check your junk folder first. If it's still missing, email us your order number and we'll resend it.
Can I cancel or change my order?
If it hasn't shipped, email info@nuroperformance.com with your order number as soon as possible and we'll do what we can, including swapping a part if you picked the wrong one.
Once a parcel is with the courier we can't pull it back, but you can still start a return.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards, plus PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay. Afterpay splits your order into 4 interest free payments.
Payments run through Shopify, so your card details never touch our system. The full list shows at checkout.
My tracking hasn't moved
Scans go quiet in transit sometimes, especially on interstate legs. That on its own isn't a problem.
If nothing has updated for more than 5 business days, email us your order number and we'll chase the courier for you.
Returns, Refunds & Warranty
What is your return policy?
You have 30 days from delivery to return an item. To be accepted it needs to be:
- Unused and not installed
- In its original packaging with all hardware included
- In resaleable condition
Once a part has been fitted it can't come back as a change of mind return. If there's a fault with it, that's a warranty claim instead. To start a return, email info@nuroperformance.com with your order number.
My part arrived damaged
Photograph the box and the part before unpacking any further, then email us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number.
Hold onto the packaging until we tell you it's clear, because couriers sometimes inspect. We'll organise a replacement or a full refund.
How long do refunds take?
Once your return arrives and we've inspected it, refunds are processed within 3 to 5 business days.
Your bank may take another 5 to 10 business days to show it on your statement. That part is out of our hands.
What warranty do your parts carry?
Every part carries a minimum 12 month warranty against manufacturing defects. Some products carry longer cover, and where they do, the longer term is stated on that product's page.
It covers manufacturing defects and premature failure of the part itself. It does not cover accident damage, misuse, or damage caused by incorrect installation. Nothing here limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Email info@nuroperformance.com with your order number, clear photos or a short video of the issue, and a quick description of what's happening.
The more we can see, the faster it gets resolved.
Fitment
How do I know if a part fits?
Every listing spells out the chassis codes and year ranges it fits. You can also use the vehicle search at the top of the site to filter the catalogue to your exact car.
Still unsure, send us your year, model and chassis code.
What is a chassis code?
It's the internal name BMW gives each generation, and it's the only reliable way to know what fits. Some common ones:
- F30 is the 3 Series, 2012 to 2018
- G20 is the 3 Series, 2019 onwards
- F80 is the M3, 2014 to 2018
- G80 is the M3, 2021 onwards
Find yours on the VIN plate in the driver's door jamb.
My model isn't listed. Won't it fit?
Not necessarily, but don't assume. Some parts share panels across models and some don't, even when they look identical from the outside.
Send us your details and we'll check it properly rather than let you gamble on it.
Do you only sell BMW?
Yes, and on purpose. Staying in one lane means we can go deep on fitment accuracy across every chassis code from F series through to the latest G series, instead of guessing across a dozen brands.
Products & Quality
Coloured DRLs and Australian road rules
White and yellow forward facing DRLs are generally accepted. Red and blue forward facing DRLs are not road legal in Australia.
Those kits are sold for show and off road use only. Check your state's rules before fitting anything coloured, because enforcement varies and a defect notice is on you.
OEM or aftermarket?
Our catalogue is high quality aftermarket, chosen for OEM grade fitment, proper materials and a finish that holds up next to factory panels.
Where a part is a genuine OEM item, the listing says so. We don't blur the line.
Are parts new?
Everything we sell is brand new unless a listing specifically says otherwise. Anything that isn't would be clearly labelled and priced accordingly. No surprises.
Do you stock carbon fibre?
Carbon is a big part of what we do. Mirror caps, spoilers, front lips, diffusers, grilles, side skirts and interior trim.
The exact weave, material and finish is listed on each product page, so you know what you're getting before you buy rather than after it lands.
It's sold out. Will it return?
Most popular lines get restocked. Email us the product name and your chassis code and we'll tell you the timeline, or flag you when it lands.
Can you source something that isn't listed?
Often, yes. We work with a wide supplier network, so if there's a specific part you're chasing for your build, send us the details and we'll come back with what's possible, what it'll cost and how long it'll take.
Installation
How does this part mount?
Mounting method varies part to part, so we list it on the product page rather than making you guess. We won't state a method we haven't verified, because getting that wrong costs you time and money.
If the listing isn't clear, ask us before you order.
Do you have guides?
Yes, on our installation guides page. We're building it out part by part, so if yours isn't up yet, email us and we'll walk you through it.
Do I need a workshop?
Depends on the part. Some are a straightforward DIY job with basic tools, others are better left to someone who's done it before.
The product page and the guides will tell you what you're in for.
Are instructions in the box?
Not with every product. Our guides page is where we keep current instructions, and we're happy to talk you through anything over email if you get stuck mid job.
Wholesale & Trade
Do you offer trade pricing?
We do. Email info@nuroperformance.com with your business name, ABN and the kind of volume you're looking at, and we'll come back with trade pricing.
Can I stock Nuro in my workshop?
Happy to talk. Send us a rundown of your workshop or store and which chassis codes your customers drive, and we'll put together a range that suits your floor.
Still have questions?
Fitment checks, install advice, order issues. Send it through and we'll get back to you.
